Our Story
Meadow was born from a vision to restore what modern medicine has forgotten: the art of healing the whole human.

Meadow was established by Dr. Tracy Kim Townsend and Mike Townsend after Dr. Townsend's decade-plus experience in conventional medicine and healthcare technology. They observed systematic failures affecting both patients and practitioners — and saw a better path forward.
Dr. Townsend's own healing journey — addressing intergenerational trauma, grief, and burnout in conventional medicine — inspired a commitment to preventative health and the belief that lasting transformation arises from addressing root causes through behavioral change, emotional integration, and expanded states of consciousness.
"Meadow's mission is to weave clinical excellence with nature's wisdom to expand consciousness and guide lasting transformation."
Based in Portland, Oregon, we are one of the state's licensed psilocybin service centers — operating under Oregon Psilocybin Services with full compliance to state protocols and privacy protections.
Meadow integrates evidence-based medicine, somatic psychology, functional health, and sacred ceremony through a multidisciplinary team of physicians, facilitators, therapists, and coaches. We operate on the principle that healing requires both rigor and reverence — merging modern science with natural wisdom across physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.
What sets Meadow Medicine apart is our medical foundation. Our medical director, a Harvard-affiliated physician, reviews every health intake and oversees clinical decisions. This physician-led model means your safety isn't just a priority — it's built into every step of our process.
Clinical protocols, health screening, and physician oversight on every case. No exceptions.
Fully licensed, fully transparent. We follow Oregon's standards because they protect you.
Every client is met with care, patience, and respect for their unique experience.
Integration is where real transformation lives. We support you well beyond the session itself.
A discovery call is the first step. Let's talk about your goals and whether psilocybin therapy is right for you.
